Who we are

1. USEC Corporate History and Overview

 

U.S. Electrical Corporation (USEC) began business in 1996 and is a certified small disadvantaged business with the Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council. USEC is a licensed contractor that holds the following State of New Mexico licenses, EE98, EL01 and GB98 and employs electricians that are all licensed journeymen with the State of New Mexico and is signatory with the IBEW Local 611. USEC also holds a current Electrical Contractor license in the State of Colorado.

 

USEC performs any and all types of electrical work, however USEC prides itself in design/build projects as well as the building of primary medium voltage underground cable systems including substations. Below are more details on USEC experience.

2. Experience

Industrial/Manufacturing Segment

U.S. Electrical Corporation has a wide range of experience in the Industrial Segment. Successful projects have been completed for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, Manufacturing Facilities, and Oil & Gas Plants customers throughout New Mexico. Scope of work includes low voltage, medium voltage, and controls systems to meet the project requirements and the customer’s expectations.

 

Government Segment

U.S. Electrical Corporation began nearly 25 years ago to serve the needs of Government customers. Today, USEC continues to execute successful projects for Air Force Bases and DOE Facilities around New Mexico. Projects include Design/Built type of projects as well as Bid/Build type of projects.  USEC is currently one of the preferred contractors for a DOE Facility in New Mexico performing regular Medium Voltage and Low Voltage services.

 

Commercial Segment

Commercial business for U.S. Electrical Corporation continues to grow, including performing work for Universities, School Districts, and Municipalities. Scope of work consists of Lighting and Services upgrades as well as large remodels of existing spaces.

 

Utility Segment

U.S. Electrical Corporation has extensive experience building Electrical Substations for Utility customers as well as underground electrical power distribution systems. Successful projects have been completed around the state for Co-ops, Public Utility providers, University owned utility systems, and government owned utilities. USEC has also completed unique Hydro plant Design/Build Projects and Large-Scale Solar Projects.

Elevator Segment

U.S. Electrical now offers elevator maintenance, repair, and modernization services. We are fully licensed and have the ability to service and maintain 3rd party controllers Including Otis, Kone, Schindler, and TKE equipment.

3. Capacity of USEC

USEC has the resources to complete any large project in a timely manner.  We employ an average of 90-110 employees, of which 10 are support staff and the remaining are electricians or apprentices. USEC is signatory with the IBEW Local 611 and has access to additional manpower for any given project.  USEC Is also signatory with IUEC local 131 for elevator work. All employees conducting elevator work are experienced elevator mechanics.
